In June, viscose fiber supplier the Lenzing Group celebrated its 75th anniversary at its world headquarters in Lenzing, Austria, with 3,000 invited guests—including employees, customers, business partners and public officials.
The company also held a Tencel Got Talent event in which it presented customers with the latest findings “in the field of textile processing and innovation” and took them on a tour of a fourth Tencel factory under construction in St. Wolfgang, Austria. Lenzing is a world leader in the manufacture of cellulosic fibers and holds 1,400 patents and patent applications in 57 countries. Seventy-five years ago it manufactured 30,000 tons of fiber per year; today annual production is almost 900,000 tons, a news release said.
