Protect-A-Bed encasement gets allergy and asthma certification

Protect-A-Bed's James Bell with Allerzip

Nothing to sneeze at Protect-A-Bed’s James Bell holds the newly certified Allerzip mattress encasement in the company’s Las Vegas Market showroom.

Mattress protection supplier Protect-A-Bed, which is based in the Chicago area, announced that its Allerzip smooth mattress encasement has received certification from the Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America as being “asthma and allergy friendly.”

The encasement retails for $129 in queen and is certified in all 40 countries where it currently is sold, said James Bell, chief executive officer. “This certification is an important focus for us because allergies and asthma have become such enormous issues. It took four years to achieve, and we’re very proud to have worldwide recognition.”
