Wright’s RetaiLive gets more ‘communicative’

Graphics and marketing services provider Wright Global Graphic Solutions has expanded the RetaiLive program to include near field communication. NFC is a set of standards for mobile devices that allows the establishment of radio communication by touching two devices together or bringing them into close proximity. RetaiLive is a collection of interactive point-of-sale offerings introduced earlier this year by the Thomasville, N.C.-based company. RetaiLive also uses QR codes and image recognition technology.

NFC technology works with Android devices and by year-end also may be compatible with Apple products, according to a Wright news release.

“We’ve been very aggressive in providing our customers with forward-thinking ways of presenting their brand messages and as the technology changes, we want to change with it,” said Don Wright, chairman and senior vice president of business development. “Mobile marketing is rapidly becoming one of the best sales tools in retail. In fact, 39% of instances where a consumer walks out of a store without buying were influenced by information they read on their smartphones while shopping. Reaction to RetaiLive has been overwhelmingly positive and by offering three different applications we are broadening the ways to create a dynamic, interactive and informative shopping experience.”
