Allied Feather & Down, with headquarters in Montebello, Calif., has introduced FX Down, a new washable fill that combines down with down-alternative synthetic fiber.
According to the company, previous attempts at blending down with fiber tended to create a product that clumps after washing. The new “blowable” hybrid fill does not, the company said, adding that FX Down essentially creates a third category of fill in both price and quality.
Allied Feather & Down is selling the new fill to sleep products manufacturers worldwide and its subsidiary Allied Home offers FX Down pillows, comforters and blankets to retailers.
