Nomaco hires John Maynie as VP sales & marketing

Foam component manufacturer Nomaco Home Furnishings, which has headquarters in Zebulon, N.C., has hired John Maynie as vice president of sales and marketing. Maynie joins Nomaco with more than 25 years in marketing, business development, technical sales and product development leadership. He was most recently the director of sales and marketing for Spongex LLC, formerly owned by Nomaco.

As vice president of sales and marketing, Maynie will lead the sales and marketing functions and develop new markets. He reports to Nomaco President Craig Waters.

“John has the experience and knowledge to develop and execute business strategies that will produce market leadership and long-term growth for Nomaco Home Furnishings,” said Waters. “We are excited to have him leading our team.”

Prior to joining the Nomaco family of businesses, Maynie worked for Ford Motor Co., General Electric plastics, automotive and railroad divisions, Invensys Rail North America and Propex Operating Co. His business experience spans the thermoplastics, retail, home furnishing and construction textiles, automotive and transportation sectors.
