Storis, creator of Vision9, a retail software suite for appliance, bedding, electronics, furniture and other big-ticket retailers, is marking its 25th anniversary this year. The Mt. Arlington, N.J.-based company was founded in 1989 by Donald Surdoval, the current president and chief executive officer, and Ira Bakst, who died in 2004.
Storis launched at the dawn of enterprise resource planning systems and has continuously evolved to stay in front of the latest ERP advancements for retail, including online real-time system processing, integrated supply chain management, enhanced warehouse management systems, integrated B2C e-commerce process, business intelligence data mining analytics, mobile point-of-sale applications and a cloud subscription platform.
“It’s been a privilege to serve an elite group of retailers, both large and small, and fulfill their many changing requirements,” Surdoval said. “Maintaining stable growth and our focus on substantial product development are major components of our culture and values.”
