Bedding Industries of America, the North Brunswick, New Jersey-based mattress manufacturer, Therapedic licensee and licensor of Eclipse International, Eastman House and the Ernest Hemingway collection of mattresses has announced that Matthew Connolly has rejoined the company as president of the Eclipse and Eastman House brands.

Connolly replaces Stuart Carlitz, who retains the chief executive officer title in addition to filling a new role as chairman of Eclipse International.

“Matthew’s rejoining the Eclipse and Eastman House brands as president will allow us to better manage our key brands domestically by marketing our proprietary, patented technologies offering unique solutions to support, alignment, performance, quality, competitive pricing, and stronger retailer and consumer services in the U.S.,” Carlitz said. “We will be reviewing our entire marketing and product claims proposition to our customers. We are very excited about having Matthew resume his position as president of Eclipse.”

The company said Connolly brings expert knowledge of the bedding industry—from product development to retail—to his new position. He is a mattress industry veteran with more than 30 years of experience in both manufacturing and as a retail store owner. Previously, Connolly spent 13 years with Bedding Industries as president and as executive vice president.
