Bespoke by Marshall

Pocket-spring bedding maker Marshall Mattress has created an ultra-premium collection, the Bespoke by Marshall, which retails from $12,000 to $17,500.

The collection is “the result of many years of research and development,” said Brad Warner, managing partner of the Toronto-based company. “Great emphasis has been placed on creating a luxurious line of hand-tufted mattresses that offer the most comfortable night’s sleep to our customers (reflecting) on the quality and integrity of the handcrafted manufacturing process.”

Hudson’s Bay department store, with 90 locations across Canada, floors a three-model collection of Bespoke that is exclusive to the retailer. A six-model collection is available to other select retailers.

The Bespoke is tailored in Belgian damask ticking with an elegant silver stripe and has the company’s patented Marshall Pocket Spring core. The signature core is assembled by hand from coils wrapped in natural, unbleached cotton—an “independent suspension system” devised by Marshall Mattress founder James Marshall in about 1900.
