Ed Grether
Global Systems Group, the machinery division of Carthage, Missouri-based industry supplier Leggett & Platt, has announced the retirement of Ed Grether, president of international sales.
Grether, who worked more than 40 years in executive posts within the bedding industry, 17 of them with GSG, has elected to “begin new adventures,” an L&P news release said.
“Ed is an outstanding individual and (it’s been) a great opportunity to have him with us for the last 17 years,” said Tony Garrett, L&P vice president and GSG president. “He has some very unique qualities and capabilities that fit extremely well in our organization and market. We have benefitted globally from Ed’s expertise and experience, and his command of seven-plus languages. We will proudly continue to expand his legacy and his work.”
