Mark Quinn leaving Leggett & Platt

Leggett & Platt disruption geek, the very talented Mark Quinn, announced Friday afternoon in a podcast with L&P’s Mark Kinsley that, after eight years, he is leaving the company and “moving on to a new pasture.” But, he’s remaining in the mattress-industry pasture, and will keep blogging about bedding at “Q’s Views.”

“A thing came up and it’s compelling and exciting,” Quinn told Kinsley. “Change is tough, but I’m fired up and ready for it.”

Kinsley wished Quinn well, and said, “You’ve had a huge impact at Leggett and on the industry–everything from introducing the term ‘hybrid,’ to coaching and helping all those around you.”

Where is Mark going? Hmm–he’s not telling, until “the big reveal in a few months.” But, I’m guessing one of the mattress majors has snapped him up. And I’m pretty sure they make “h-h-h-hybrids“!
