Dormeo slumber-party participants do some bed jumping.
Specialty mattress maker Dormeo N.A., with headquarters in Plano, Texas, held a giant slumber party Sept. 18 at Yonge-Dundas Square in Toronto to celebrate the introduction of the Octaspring 9500 model in Canada, available exclusively at mattress retailer Sleep Country Canada/Dormez-Vous.
The 9500 is the “most premium” and “plushest” bed in the manufacturer’s line-up, with three layers of “memory-foam springs” arranged in five comfort zones.
The company set up a Dormeo Dream Lounge at the busy Toronto intersection, inviting passersby to test more than 20 beds, vie for prizes, listen to music, dine on Mexican food and watch live acrobatic performances. Following the daylong event, all beds were donated to the North York Women’s Shelter.
