Duties finalized on Chinese innerspring imports from third-country exporters

The U.S. Department of Commerce has issued a final determination ruling that uncovered innerspring units from the People’s Republic of China shipped by third-country exporters Goldon Bedding Mfg. Sdn. Bhd and Ta Cheng Coconut Knitting Co. Ltd. are subject to a 234.51% duty for goods entered into the United States from Feb. 1, 2012, to Jan. 31, 2013.

Goldon is a Malaysian company and Ta Cheng is Taiwanese. DOC assigned this duty rate to imports from these companies because they were found to be uncooperative in the proceeding.
