Therapedic to launch Tommy Bahama mattress collection

Mattress-licensing group Therapedic International has partnered with lifestyles brand Tommy Bahama on a bed collection set for introduction at the Las Vegas Market Jan. 18-22. The new collection, part of Tommy Bahama Home, is the Seattle-based company’s entry into the mattress category.

“We are extremely excited to partner with Tommy Bahama, an amazing home-furnishings brand that defines relaxed, sophisticated style,” said Gerry Borreggine, president and chief executive officer of Princeton, New Jersey-based Therapedic. “Their product designs speak to the same well-educated consumers that we do. This collaboration is one of the largest licensing deals the sleep-products industry has seen. We are working hard to develop an elegantly constructed product made with high-quality materials that will transform the bedroom into a true island-inspired retreat. Just as Tommy Bahama is known for its refined and unhurried lifestyle, this new mattress collection will be designed to capture the essence of and bring relaxation to any sleeper.”

Tommy Bahama Group Inc. owns and operates more than 130 Tommy Bahama retail stores worldwide and ships merchandise to consumers in 100 countries. Its branded goods also are sold through other retailers. The Tommy Bahama mattress collection by Therapedic will be offered to select furniture and sleep retailers nationwide.

“We are proud to partner with a prestigious brand like Therapedic that has long been recognized as a leader in the sleep products category,” said Bradley O’Brien, Tommy Bahama executive vice president of design and product development. “They share our vision and commitment to using innovative and high-quality materials and creating mattresses that make the bedroom a sanctuary for rest and relaxation.”
