Serta Simmons Bedding LLC will be a presenting sponsor of the seventh annual Ante4Autism poker tournament at the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino, Sunday, Jan. 18 at 7 p.m. The Hoffman Estates, Illinois-based mattress major is supporting the event at the highest sponsorship level of $10,000 and its branding will be incorporated throughout. As many as 25 Serta Simmons employees are expected to play, along with many other mattress and furniture industry members.
“I am delighted that Serta Simmons Bedding is supporting the important work that we’re doing,” said Doug Krinsky, Ante4Autism founder, Restonic sales manager and parent of a child with autism. “With the funds we raise from sponsors like Serta Simmons Bedding, and the event itself, we can continue to help families who are impacted by autism.”
Event proceeds support Autism Speaks, a New York-based advocacy group that raises awareness about autism-spectrum disorders and funds research into causes, prevention and treatment.
“One in 68 children in the United States, and one in 42 boys, are diagnosed with autism-spectrum disorder,” said Ante4autism co-host Allen Parvizian, president and chief executive officer of APJL Consulting, based in Sterling, Virginia. “We can’t thank Gary (Fazio of Serta Simmons) enough for partnering with us at Ante4Autism and helping to raise awareness of our event and this cause.”
Buy-in for the Texas Hold ‘em poker event is $125, re-buys are $40. All players receive an Autism Speaks pin; final table players earn prizes. The tournament winner receives a Grand Champion plaque. A number of celebrities and special guests are expected to participate. For complete details, to register or make a donation, visit Ante4Austism.com.
