Massindo Group, a vertically integrated mattress manufacturer and retailer with headquarters in Jakarta, Indonesia, has expanded into Singapore. In December, new subsidiary Massindo Global Asia Pte Ltd. opened a mattress gallery at Courts Megastore Tampines in Singapore, as well as Massindo’s first international branch office. The new store carries Massindo’s Comforta brand, as well as Spring Air and Therapedic and has a specially trained staff of sleep-products professionals.
The company said it chose Singapore as the prosperous nation-state is a premium-shopping destination for many Indonesians and Malaysians. The manufacturer plans further expansion into Malaysia and other member countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
