Mattress protection and sleep accessories supplier Bedgear, with headquarters in Farmingdale, New York, has hired Paul Ciciarelli to the new post vice president of sales, and named John Vinson to the newly created position sales manager for the central and southeast regions.
Ciciarelli assumes responsibilities formerly held by Eugene Alletto, Bedgear founder and chief executive officer. Most recently, Ciciarelli was sales manager with Rowe Furniture.
“I met Paul when we both started in the industry 20 years ago and have observed his professional development ever since,” Alletto said. “Paul exhibits a tremendous understanding of merchandising with a culture-based approach to leading a national team and emphasis on educating retail sales associates. Paul also demonstrates an aptitude for presenting personalized and customized consumer products in a process-driven way. All of these skills naturally lend themselves to Bedgear’s vision of development and commitment to our retail partners.”
Vinson’s position was added after the company realigned its existing sales team, which consists of Holly Adorno, Adam Fain and Leslie Fulmer, a news release said.
Vinson brings 10 years of sales management experience with mattress-industry suppliers Talalay Global (the former Latex International) and Flexible Foam. He is putting his industry knowledge to good use, helping Bedgear retailers drive mattress and accessories sales, the company said.
Alletto now handles key strategic partnerships and, also, is managing Bedgear’s expansion at its factory in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The 150,000 site, which employs 70, is being updated with open-plan offices, a gym and lounge.
