Leesa joins online-only mattress lineup

Mattress e-tailer Leesa, based in Virginia Beach, Virginia, is the newest entrant in the e-commerce-only, all-foam mattress category. The beds have a simple construction—support foam layered with two inches of memory foam and topped with Carpenter Co.’s contoured, perforated Avena polyurethane foam.

Like other Internet sellers in this new category, Leesa purports to do away with “the hassles of mattress shopping” and is available in a single comfort with clean, contemporary looks that feature a wrap-around, double-knit cover. The queen retails for $890 (price includes shipping). Beds ship compressed and rolled in UPS-friendly boxes, throughout the contiguous United States.

“Our beautifully designed and crafted mattress is affordable, easy to buy and extremely comfortable, helping people improve their sleep quality, which is important for overall health,” said David Wolfe, Leesa chief executive officer and company principal.

The mattress comes with a “100-night, risk-free in-home trial, backed by a full refund policy and free shipping.” The bed, itself, and all components are manufactured in the United States.
