Microban names business development director

Anti-microbial protection supplier Microban International Ltd. has named Lisa Owen as senior director of global business development for textiles.

Owen joins an established textiles team at Microban, which has headquarters in Huntersville, North Carolina. The team focuses on long-lasting, anti-microbial product protection–from odor-resistant clothing and footwear, to mold- and mildew-inhibiting window coverings.

Owen’s background includes executive posts with multiple companies, including BAE Systems, NatureWorks, Marley and RSC Bio Solutions. She has experience in a number of segments, from plastics to chemicals, and her skill set encompasses business-plan development, new-strategy implementation and the direction of multicultural teams.

“The textile category is a global priority for Microban, and the addition of Lisa to our team is one example of how we are making significant investments in our expertise from R&D to marketing in order to drive growth,” said Richard Chapman, vice president of global marketing for Microban International.
