Oregon’s BedMart goes Hawaiian

Portland, Oregon-based mattress retailer BedMart Mattress Superstores, has expanded to Hawaii, opening its first store this month in Kahului on Maui.

“While this is our first opening in the Hawaiian Islands, it’s by no means our last,” said Elana Stone, company spokesperson and vice president of marketing for the Portland, Oregon-based mattress-store chain. “We plan to be aggressive in opening more locations in the next 18 months. My family is excited to bring our services to the islands. Residents of Hawaii do not have many options when buying a mattress and we want to fill this need by providing the largest selection, great value and faster delivery.”

The store opening marks the sleep-shop chain’s first expansion outside of Oregon and Washington state since it was founded 23 years ago by Steven Stone.
