TRUSTEES ELECTED TO ISPA BOARD
Kathryn Roedel Elected as ISPA Chair, Bryan Smith Elected as Vice Chair

(Alexandria, VA) – The International Sleep Products Association (ISPA) has announced the results of its election of individuals to serve new two-year terms on its Board of Trustees. The following current Trustees were elected to serve another term on the Board: Aslan Cohen, Spring Air Mexico S.A. de C.V., Iv Culp, Culp, Inc., Adam Lava, A. Lava & Son Co., Doug Guffey, Corsicana Bedding., Jim O’Donnell, Tempur-Sealy International, Valerie Stranix, REV Sleep Corporation, Ryan Trainer, International Sleep Products Association and Scott Veitzer, Omaha Bedding Co. In addition, Brad Rogers, senior vice president of the bedding division of Ashley Furniture Inc., has been elected to the Board.

ISPA also elected a new slate of Officers. Kathy Roedel, executive vice president- chief services and fulfillment officer of Select Comfort Corporation to has become ISPA Board Chair, and Bryan Smith, president and CEO of Southerland Inc., was elected serve as ISPA Vice Chair. With the expiration of his term as Chair of the ISPA Board, Ron Passaglia, president/CEO of Restonic Mattress Corp., has become Immediate Past Chair. Ryan Trainer and Catherine Lyons were re-elected to serve two-year terms as ISPA President and Treasurer, respectively. The terms for each of the Officers and new Trustees will run from 2015-17.

Gerry Borreggine, whose term as Immediate Past Chair ended with the election of the new Officers, has retired from the Board.

“I congratulate our new Officers and Trustees on their election,” noted ISPA President Ryan Trainer. “As ISPA celebrates its 100th anniversary and plans for the future, input from these seasoned leaders will guide the Association as it addresses common industry issues. On behalf of the full ISPA membership, I thank each of them for volunteering their time and effort to serve in these important positions. I also want to express a special thank you to Gerry Borreggine for his years of contributing to ISPA and the industry, and especially his service as an ISPA Officer over the last six years.”

Established in 1915, the International Sleep Products Association (ISPA) is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the growth, profitability and stature of the mattress industry. As the industry’s trade organization, ISPA represents nearly 700 mattress manufacturers and suppliers throughout the world.
