Marshall Mattress celebrates milestone with Heritage bed

Luxury mattress producer Marshall Mattress has added the limited edition Heritage mattress to its Rest Assured collection. The bed celebrates the company’s 115th anniversary and is sold exclusively at longtime retail partner Hudson Bay for about $2,000.

The two-sided Heritage is available with a choice of three foundation heights (a standard 7.5 inches and low profiles of 2 inches and 4 inches). The mattress is wrapped in Belgian damask containing the company’s proprietary CleanSleep hypoallergenic, anti-dust mite finish. Inside are the company’s signature pocket springs sewn into unbleached muslin pockets. The springs are layered with New Zealand wool and various densities of polyurethane foam, some with bio-based content.

“One hundred fifteen years ago, company founder James Marshall invented and patented the first pocket coil, making the Marshall Mattress brand synonymous with innovation, design and Canadian luxury,” said Brad Warner, managing partner of the Toronto-based company. “This is an exciting stage in our company’s history and we wanted to make a bold statement. … This launch is the first of many things we have planned to commemorate our anniversary.”
