British luxury mattress maker Vispring, with U.S. headquarters in Las Vegas, has named Hugh Landes as vice president of sales for North America. He replaces Terence Bachor who has left the company.

Landes, who oversees North American sales and distribution, has responsibility for implementing and executing sales and branding strategies, increasing brand awareness, evaluating new distribution channels and developing the territory sales team.

Prior to joining Vispring, Landes spent more than 15 years with Natuzzi Americas Inc., most recently as brand manager for Natuzzi Italia. He also served as vice president of sales and marketing for Natuzzi in Latin America. Prior to that, he owned BoConcept, a modern and contemporary home furnishings store in Austin, Texas.

“2015 is proving to be another exciting chapter in Vispring’s 114 year history,” said Mike Meehan, Vispring managing director. “As we increase our global footprint, particularly in North America, Hugh brings a wealth of experience to Vispring and will be a strong asset to our team.”

Commenting on his new post, Landes said, “From the first, I was very impressed with Vispring’s heritage and integrity, as well as its superb product quality and all-natural story. I really connected with the company. We have already added many new dealers because of the unique story we have to tell.”

Landes reports to Meehan.
