C3 compression machine lauded

C3 Corp. has earned a 2015 Insight Innovation award for its CWU2000 mattress compression machine from Insight, a business publication in Wisconsin. The machine can roll pack a foam mattress without folding it by compressing it laterally and then rolling it. It also functions as a flat pack and mattress-packaging machine.

The dimensions of a compressed, rolled and packaged bed are about that of an over-sized golf bag, making it less costly to ship, a C3 news release said.

C3, a machinery and engineering services supplier based in Appleton, Wisconsin, developed the CWU2000 in 2014 in response to foam clients’ needs. The company says it has a smaller footprint than other machines, provides high output, reduces plastic film waste and maintains product integrity.
