Sound Sleep Products names Northwest sales rep

Regional mattress maker Sound Sleep Products Inc., with headquarters in Sumner, Washington, has hired Carlos Roland as regional account executive for the Pacific Northwest, representing the company’s licensed Paramount Sleep bedding lineup. He reports to Dave Puterbaugh, Sound Sleep director of sales.

“Carlos’s unique skill set will allow us to quickly establish Paramount as a premier bedding brand in the Northwest,” Puterbaugh said. “We are excited to have someone with Carlo’s level of passion and experience represent us.”

Prior to joining Sound Sleep, Roland was principal of Roland Marketing & Media Inc. Previously, he was an account executive with CRISTA Ministries, as well as a radio station sales manager and general manager. Earlier, he worked in retail environments, including as store manager with Sleep Country USA.

Roland credits his time with Sleep Country USA—and its founders Robert Cook and Sunny Kobe Cook—as the catalyst for his passion for both the advertising and mattress businesses, a news release said.

Sound Sleep also licenses the Lady Americana mattress brand. Earlier this year, Sound Sleep owner John Larsen purchased Restonic licensee Oregon Mattress.
