Boston-based mattress licensing group Spring Air International has signed a licensing agreement with Ching Choun Bed Co. Ltd., based in Tucheng City, Taiwan, to manufacture and market Spring Air mattresses throughout the island country.
Ching Choun Bed, founded in 1973 and led by Chief Executive Officer Shu Chao Hsu, is one of the longest standing and best mattress makers in Taiwan, a Spring Air news release said.
Operating as Spring Air-Taiwan, the company will manufacture and sell a full line of Spring Air-branded bedding, as well as its own line of sleep products.
“Ching Choun Bed has an excellent reputation in Taiwan and services all channels of retail distribution,” said Spring Air CEO Eric Spitzer. “The producer presented the perfect opportunity for a U.S. brand to be launched in a stable environment. Company members will attend our next International Global Summit in Delhi, India, this November and will have the chance to meet all of Spring Air’s international licensees at that time.”
Spring Air-branded products are sold in 33 countries.
