Buying group BrandSource has restructured, establishing 14 regional category-expert managers who offer “hyper-local, laser-focused sales and marketing support to dealers selling appliances, home furnishings and mattresses,” a news release from the Tustin, California-based company said. The move is designed to boost member retention and recruitment.
“Today’s shoppers gather information long before they enter a store or make a purchase, and it’s our job to help BrandSource members amplify that knowledge with expert guidance,” said BrandSource President Tom Bennett. “Our regional managers will be on hand to offer highly personalized support and guidance to help members increase sales.”
The company also announced that BrandSource and ProSource—its electronics and audio arm—will operate as two separate business units, while continuing to share resources that serve the greater good of all members.
Bennett and Chief Executive Officer Jim Ristow lead BrandSource. ProSource is managed by CEO David Workman.
