Houston-based retailer Mattress Firm came to the aid of flood victims in Texas in June, offering impacted residents a $700 store credit good at all Houston-area stores and presented a $50,000 check to the Central Texas chapter of the American Red Cross.
“Mattress Firm was born and bred in Houston and so was I,” said Steve Stagner, Mattress Firm chief executive officer. “We knew we wanted to help our hometown recover and the need to establish the flood relief program became clear as we saw coverage of mattresses piled high in damaged neighborhoods.”
