BedMart Mattress Superstores, a Portland, Oregon-based retailer, is donating 200 Tempur-Pedic mattresses to support the city’s Home for Every Veteran Initiative. The first installment—63 beds—was delivered during the Community Warehouse Furniture Drive on July 11, where Mayor Charlie Hales was on hand to help unload the truck.

Veteran Initiative is a citywide effort committed to housing all homeless veterans in Portland by the end of 2015. “We value the commitment that our veterans have made to our country and want to show our respect and appreciation to these dedicated Americans,” said Elana Stone, BedMart vice president of marketing.
