Intercoil to Add Manufacturing in Saudi Arabia

Mideast manufacturing and retailing major Intercoil International, with headquarters in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, announced it will expand its manufacturing footprint with a new plant in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The 75,000-square-foot facility is expected to open in the first quarter of 2016, and will include a fully equipped research and development lab. Intercoil currently operates three manufacturing plants in the UAE.

The additional production will help the mattress maker fill its growing pipeline to 23 countries throughout the Middle East and North Africa. Intercoil’s distribution channels include the burgeoning hospitality industry, retail partners and its own retail outlets.

Hassan Al Hazeem, Intercoil managing director, announced the expansion news at The Hotel Show 2015, held Sept. 28-30 in Dubai: “There is no doubt that the regional hospitality sector is entering its busiest growth stage to date. Having been operational in the Middle East for almost 42 years now, Intercoil has been a trusted partner in the industry for many years, and our latest plans to extend our manufacturing capabilities across the MENA region will enable us to meet our customers’ growing requirements.”

Family-owned Intercoil manufactures a range of proprietary bed brands and is the exclusive licensee of the Simmons Beautyrest and Therapedic brands in the region.
