Storis 9.6 Offers Retailers New Selling Tools

Storis 9.6 offers retailers new selling toolsTechnology provider Storis has released 9.6, a new version of its retail software. The launch is part of an “aggressive development timeline, which aims to deliver a new version of Storis every six months,” according to a news release from the Mt. Arlington, New Jersey-based company.

“(We are) pushing the boundaries of our already unprecedented R&D program,” said Phil Pepper, Storis director of application development. “Technology is changing more rapidly than ever before, and at Storis we have aligned our resources to maintain a competitive pace.”

Storis 9.6 offers improved controls to home furnishings retailers around discounting and pricing, with better rule configuration and security. Enhancements seen in 9.6 were developed in conjunction with Ashley Furniture HomeStores in Dallas/Fort Worth.

The next-generation software manages innovative, complex discounting, while guaranteeing consistency and accuracy and preventing “discount abuse … thanks to advanced back-end rules,” the company said. In addition, since no two retailers are exactly the same, 9.6 offers more setting options across functional areas from salesperson activity, to delivery, financing, warranties and more.

Financing is an important focus, too, with new settings for tracking merchandise eligible for certain financing plans, and for helping sales associates make decisions that meet business rules at the point of sale.
