Adjustable base manufacturer Customatic Adjustable Bedz, headquartered in Natick, Massachusetts, now offers retailers a rechargeable power pack for operating motion furniture.
The portable power pack, Power Now, is 6 inches by 10 inches and includes traditional and USB outlets. Priced at $99, it can hold a charge for a week.
Phil Sherman, Customatic Adjustable Bedz partner, said the pack allows retailers “to display adjustable bases and other motion furniture anywhere on the showroom floor, without the worry of finding an outlet. For many years, adjustable bed bases … were relegated to the outer edges of the showroom floor. … This ‘boxed-in’ showroom display took away from the impact motion furniture should have on consumers.”
