Reverie Hosts Innovation Summit

Martin Rawls-Meehan of Reverie addresses audience at innovation summit

Sparking innovation Martin Rawls-Meehan, chief executive officer of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan-based Reverie, addresses the audience at his company’s second Innovation Summit.

Bloomfield Hills, Michigan-based Reverie, a supplier of adjustable bases, beds and sleep accessories, held its second Innovation Summit May 4-6 in Detroit. Nine of its furniture retailer vendors attended.

The program included presentations by sleep experts, as well as a panel of industry outsiders from General Motors, Rocket Fiber, Shinola and Under Armour, who shared their innovation insights.

“The idea was to get industry people together and figure out how to do things differently, to be disruptive,” said Martin Rawls-Meehan, Reverie chief executive officer. “We gathered a small group of decision makers and brought them together with key innovators from companies outside the furniture industry. The goal of the summit was to spark innovation, learn from disrupters in other industries and to generate the types of conversations that will hopefully lead to a real paradigm shift that can move our entire industry forward.”
