Adjustable base supplier Ergomotion, which has headquarters in Santa Barbara, California, has promoted Johnny Griggs to chief operating officer and Kyle Muench to vice president of operations.
The moves better unify the operations and sales departments to assist future growth, according to a news release.
“We are fortunate to have incredible talent across the Ergomotion executive team,” said Jack Tang, president and chief executive officer and president. “ Johnny Griggs and Kyle’s promotions are a reflection of their successful track records as trusted leaders. Their industry experience is a valuable asset as we continue our growth into the next decade.”
Previously, Griggs was president of sales. In his new role, he oversees the company’s operating units worldwide, manages departmental budgets and supervises customer service. He reports to Tang.
Commenting on his new role, Griggs said: “I joined Ergomotion when it was a startup because I believed in the quality and drive toward innovation. To see threefold sales increases in a short amount of time—and to be part of that growth process—has been an exciting undertaking. I look forward to building on what we’ve accomplished.”
Muench joined Ergomotion in 2009 as director of operations. His responsibilities now include managing the purchasing, logistics, warehouse, key accounts and customer service teams. He reports to Griggs.
Ergomotion was founded in 2005 as a distributor of adjustable bases made by Jiaxing Shufude Electric Bed Co. Ltd., with headquarters in Jiaxing City, China. In 2014, Shufude, which also manufactures Softide bases, acquired Ergomotion.
