A specialty sleep mattress and sleep accessories manufacturer, Soft-Tex International, based in Waterford, New York, has hired three new executives and made several other personnel changes.
It also was named to the list of “50 Fastest Growing Companies of 2017” by the Albany Business Review in the basic bedding category, based on three-year revenue growth.
Because of its growth, Soft-Tex added positions in product development and e-commerce, along with promotions and job shifts.

Erik Sanchez has been named vice president of sourcing and product development. He previously was group vice president of reporting and analytics for Macy’s Inc.
“Erik comes to us with a wealth of experience and acumen related to trends, product development and sourcing,” said Jeff Chilton, Soft-Tex president and chief executive officer.
Reporting to Sanchez are Eric Linn, vice president of marketing and communications, an expanded role to tie in operations, sales, legal and marketing; Eric Hasper, lead designer who also manages the company’s showrooms in New York and Las Vegas; and Steven Ge, whose role as vice president of China operations has been expanded to include more autonomy and additional sign-off authority.
Larry Wilkins
Taylor Jones has been hired as director of digital marketing to build Soft-Tex’s presence and brand in the online bedding marketplace. He also oversees the company’s digital assets, strategy and marketing channel development. Jones previously ran his own digital solutions company in Charlotte, North Carolina.
John Timmerman’s role as divisional vice president has been expanded to give him oversight of Soft-Tex’s e-commerce and DreamSmart Furniture divisions.
Larry Wilkins has joined the company in international sales, leading a new division. “Larry will bring awareness and focus to this important effort,” Chilton said.
