Carthage, Missouri, Sept. 20, 2017 — After 42 years of service to Leggett & Platt Incorporated, Tony Garrett, L&P Vice-President, and President of Global Systems Group® (GSG)/Machinery, has announced his retirement effective October 13th. Garrett has held several positions of increasing responsibilities throughout the Machinery & Technology Division of Leggett & Platt.

Under his effective leadership as former President of Gribetz International®, followed by his role over all of GSG as President, this group of mattress machinery manufacturers has grown to be the most popular equipment producers in the industry. Always driven to pioneer new, innovative technologies and production methods for advancing his customers’ operations, Garrett positioned GSG companies and their strategic partners as valued industry leaders within their respective fields. In an effort to better serve each customer in their respective local markets, Garrett has expanded GSG’s world-wide footprint to include over two dozen production facilities, sales/service field office, and sales agent locations across four continents.
