Mattress licensing group Eclipse International, which is part of North Brunswick, New Jersey-based Bedding Industries of America, has named industry veteran David Tenuta director of brands and marketing.
Tenuta has more than 30 years of experience in the sales and marketing of luxury brands such as Aireloom, Hypnos, Kingsdown and E.S. Kluft. He most recently was director of sales for Paramount Sleep, where he managed sales for the Hypnos line and strategic accounts.
At Eclipse, Tenuta supports marketing efforts on all company brands but puts special focus on the portfolio’s luxury brands, such as Eastman House, Hemingway and Van Vorst.
“We have built the nation’s largest portfolio of luxury bedding brands under one roof, and Dave will be able to help us market and package these offerings to our dealers,” said Stuart Carlitz, Eclipse president and chief executive officer. “There is no one in the industry with a greater depth of experience in building luxury bedding brands.”
Commenting on his new role, Tenuta said: “Throughout my career I have had the opportunity to work with many of the great innovators in our industry, specifically in the luxury sector. I was there at the beginning of E.S. Kluft, for example, and participated in what was the birth of one of the strongest brands in the industry today. I believe the Eclipse portfolio has the opportunity to grow in a similar way, and I am excited to be a part of this team.”
