Gold Bond goes on the road

Hartford, Connecticut-based mattress maker Gold Bond, which decided not to exhibit at the Fall High Point Market in High Point, North Carolina, for the first time in many years, began in October hosting a series of private, regional shows for retailers.

The regional shows run through March and enable the company to create a more focused, intimate shopping experience. They feature Gold Bond’s latest product innovations and designs, according to a news release.

Conducting private, regional showings is money well spent, said Bob Naboicheck, Gold Bond president. “(They) offer the great opportunity to spend quality time with our retail partners in a quieter, less hurried setting,” he said.

The company is visiting major metropolitan areas in Maine, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York and North Carolina.

Naboicheck said he hasn’t ruled out taking new space at the Spring High Point Market in April.
