Precision Textiles, in partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation, planted 2,500 trees at Florida’s Eglin Air Force Base in honor of Veterans Day.
According to a news release, the planting project is part of the Fairfield, New Jersey-based textile company’s ongoing “Preserving the Planet” initiative and reflects its commitment to environmental stewardship as a lasting tribute honoring military service. The trees planted will enhance and preserve the base’s nearly 500,000-acre landscape by reducing erosion, providing wildlife habitat and enhancing air quality.
“In celebration of Veterans Day and as dedicated stewards of the environment, this tree-planting project allows us to honor our courageous servicemen and women by fostering a greener future for generations to come,” said Scott Tesser, CEO of Precision Textiles. “Each tree we plant represents our profound gratitude and respect for those who protect our freedoms and serves as a living tribute to the commitment and sacrifices made by service members. According to a news release, Precision Textiles’ “Preserving the Planet” initiative focuses on improving how the company conducts business and is based on three core pillars: improving environmental, social and governance practices; enhanced business alignment; and verifying positive impact to the planet.
