North Brunswick, New Jersey-based Eclipse International has signed a licensing agreement with Sumner, Washington-based Sound Sleep Products. The agreement gives Sound Sleep the rights to produce, market and distribute the Eclipse and Eastman House brands in six states: Alaska, Hawaii, Montana, Oregon and Washington, as well as the panhandle region of northern Idaho.
Founded in 1992, Sound Sleep has two factories: one in Tacoma, Washington, and the other in Sumner. The vertically integrated company manufactures innersprings and cuts foam for the mattresses and box springs produced at its 117,000-square-foot facility in Sumner.
“Sound Sleep’s commitment to quality and innovation, coupled with its impeccable customer service, make the company a perfect addition to the Eclipse family. The Northwest is an important region for us, and Sound Sleep’s extensive dealer base puts them in a great position to hit the ground running with these two brands,” said Stuart Carlitz, chief executive officer of Eclipse International.
John Larsen, CEO of Sound Sleep, said: “Our agreement with Eclipse positions us for rapid growth, and our dealer base is very excited about putting these brands on their sales floors. Eclipse’s success across multiple brands puts it in a unique position, and the company is poised to respond to the rapidly changing bedding marketplace.”
