Jones Family of Companies has added an office in Charlotte, North Carolina. The company is based in Humboldt, Tennessee, and has plants in Morristown, Tennessee; and Las Vegas.
The new executive offices in Charlotte provide space for members of the sales and marketing teams, as well as research and development. Finance, human resources and other administrative functions remain at headquarters.
The office location was a strategic choice, the company said. Charlotte is close to two major universities with degree programs in textiles — North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Clemson University in Clemson, South Carolina.
“This area is ground zero for the current textile-resurgence movement,” said Andrew Dailey, Jones senior vice president. “Jones will be centered around growing opportunities as the manufacturing of textiles begins to return to the U.S.”
C.P. Davis, Jones chief executive officer, said the new office gives the company greater flexibility and mobility. “Charlotte is a vital financial and business center. It is also the primary hub for the major airlines facilitating economic and efficient time management to go where the business opportunities require,” he said.
Jones Family of Companies is a third-generation, family-held business founded in 1936. It has two divisions, Jones Yarn and Jones Nonwovens and is a supplier to the acoustics, automotive, floor-care, furniture, packaging and sleep products industries.
