MILWAUKEE – March 16, 2020 – Verlo Mattress will close its five corporate-owned stores beginning Tuesday, March 17 until further notice because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. In addition to its corporate- owned stores, staff of Verlo’s corporate office in Milwaukee’s historic Third Ward will be working from home when practical.
“As a family-owned, local business, Verlo Mattress is doing what can to protect our employees and guests in order to help slow or prevent the spread of the coronavirus,” said Dirk Stallmann, Verlo’s executive vice president. “We hope to resume normal business operations as soon as possible.”
The Milwaukee-based company’s corporate -owned stores are all in Wisconsin. They are located at:
- 6501 W. Layton Ave. in Greenfield
- 2089 Wisconsin Ave. in Grafton
- 2510 S. Green Bay Rd. in Racine
- 11100 W. Burleigh St. in Wauwatosa
- 3303 Rib Mountain Dr. in Wausau.
Other Verlo Mattress locations will remain open for business at the discretion of the franchise owners.
Stallmann noted that Verlo recently updated its website, https://verlo.com. so guests can purchase any of Verlo’s entire collection of mattresses with multiple options for every model. Every mattress is custom-built for the guest’s needs.
“The website has a ‘live chat’ feature available weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time,” added Stallmann. “Providing tremendous value and personalized attention have been hallmarks of our company for more than 60 years.
