Eclipse Adds Tiffany Collection

North Brunswick, New Jersey-based Eclipse International has added a three-bed collection to its Chittenden & Eastman brand in a move to firm up its position as a company that offers affordable luxury mattresses.

The Chittenden & Eastman Tiffany collection queen-size sets start at $2,999 and top out at $3,999. Handcrafted and hand-tufted, the collection features materials such as New Zealand wool, cotton and Talalay latex combined with a pocketed coil system. All are covered in Belgian damasks.

Named in honor of three well-known hotels in the United States — the Fairmont, the Wilshire and the Drake — models in the collection pay homage to Chittenden & Eastman’s early history of selling mattresses to premium hotels.

“We’ve designed this collection with great thought and care to position them up against some of the most luxurious brands in the industry without the high price tag,” said Stuart Carlitz, president and chief executive officer of Eclipse International. “These high-style, beautiful beds provide luxury at a very competitive price, giving retailers the ability to make a strong margin with limited distribution and stay out of the online race to the bottom.”
