Harrison Spinks Launches Sustainable Luxury Collections

Harrison Spinks changes the way the world sleeps with launch of new collections

LEEDS, U.K. — Luxury bedmaker Harrison Spinks has launched two new collections as part of its commitment to enhanced comfort and sustainability and is inviting retail partners to its refreshed showroom to see the grand unveiling.

Continuing to drive sustainable product innovation and development, Harrison Spinks’ new collections are being launched exclusively for its independent retail partners, as the manufacturer invests in its promise to go glue, foam and FR chemical-free, following its pledge last year.

Independent Sales Director, Steve Brougham, commented: “Our new collections champion our sustainability commitment and showcase our dedication to going glue, foam and FR chem-free.

“We needed to find a way for our customers to see our new collections, in light of Covid-19 and many of the trade shows being cancelled, so we found a way to open the doors of our refreshed showroom. Creating a safe and secure environment for our retail partners was a priority and we’re proud that we’ve been able to deliver a personal one-on-one experience in an engaging space.

“Our new collections not only enhance our position as leaders in sustainability, but also offer enhanced comfort due to improvements in our core spring technology. 2020 has been a fast-paced year of sustainable innovation for us and we’re excited about what 2021 has in store.”

Harrison Spinks’ refreshed showroom is full of innovative ways to display the new collections, the brand’s heritage and its sustainable core. From fabric walls to interactive areas, it gives retailers a feel for exactly what the luxury bedmaker can offer.

All mattresses from the new Seasonal Turn and Turn Free collections can be disassembled and recycled at the end of their lifetime, resulting in zero mattresses being sent to landfill. Three new variations ofCortec™ can be found within the new collections – Cortec™ Ultra, Cortec™ Quad and Cortec™ Revolution.

In addition to the glue-free spring system, each of the new models features Harrison Spinks’ newly developed wool viscose ticking, which is completely free from FR chemicals. The new ticking is woven on Harrison Spinks’ own state-of-the-art weaving looms. The wool used is Class 1+2 certified by Oeko-tex 100, one of the world’s best-known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances, and Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certified under 5 Animal Freedoms & Best Practices in Management and Land Protection.

Harrison Spinks has also launched a new slim divan and range of fabrics and is working on a Somnus collection that will be launching in 2021 that aligns with the bedmaker’s glue, foam and FR chemical-free pledge.

Harrison Spinks is one of Great Britain’s most established and innovative bed makers. Established in 1840, it manufactures luxury mattresses under the Harrison Spinks, Somnus, and Spink & Edgar brands. Harrison Spinks is one of the most vertically integrated bed manufacturers in the world from drawing its own wire for its unique spring technology to growing natural fillings on its own farm in Yorkshire.
