Sureline Foam Products is known as the place to go for custom foam manufacturing. The C-3 compression packaging machine enables Sureline to respond to single order mattresses built to unique specifications.

The company is known for filling custom orders for retailers with customers who have unique sleep or comfort needs. As we know, custom isn’t always easy.

Manufacturing can be complicated by the number of different foam types needed. Next are hard, medium, or soft densities that may be required.

Bonding several layers of different types of foam together to produce the desired level of sleep comfort and then machining the final shape brings it all together. The last step is sewing a cover made from a variety of fabric options.

Sureline has invested in compression packaging equipment at its 53,000-square-feet manufacturing plant:

COVID-19 RESPONSE

Foam mattresses also played a role in Sueline Foam’s response when Canada was shutdown due to COVID-19. Canadian Homeless Shelters were inundated with people suddenly needing a place to sleep after being forced onto the streets.

Increased volumes and accompanying physical distancing requirements forced Shelters to quickly establish satellite locations in churches, synagogues, mosques, gymnasiums, and empty buildings.

Sureline ramped-up output of it’s single-layer institutional foam mattress. A plasticized cover makes cleaning and disinfecting much easier than with traditional mattresses.

They are ideal for COVID-19 management as sealed seam covers prevents contamination from sources like bed bugs.

Sureline also received orders for 3+ million foam components for PPE face shields for frontline healthcare workers that were fabricated by other companies. A foam forehead protector provides comfort and protection.

EXPANDED CAPACITY

Sureline Foam Products was purchased in 2001 by Brad Hart, Chief Operating Officer and his brother Greg Hart, Director. The firm recently moved into a purpose-built manufacturing and head office complex designed by Brad and Greg Hart. It’s 53,000 sq. ft. is double the previous plant’s size. Sureline is in Calgary, Alberta.
