Therapedic Boosts Capacity, Footprint With 2 New Licensees

PRINCETON, N.J. –Therapedic International has added two new licensee partners, expanding the Top 10 mattress producer’s capacity and reach in growing Ohio and Tennessee territories.

Therapedic Tennessee, owned and operated by Dutch Craft Sleep Products President Eli Schmucker, and Therapedic Ohio, owned and operated by Heritage Sleep President Zeb Troyer, now join the more than 50 domestic and international licensees across six continents.

Across three factories near the Tennessee-Kentucky line, Therapedic Tennessee includes 180,000 square feet of manufacturing, cut and sew, and foam fabrication. The main campus houses the company’s own research and development where it performs mattress testing.

Based in Orwell, Therapedic Ohio has 85,000 square feet of manufacturing and will serve customers in Ohio, western Pennsylvania and western New York.

Gerry Borreggine, Therapedic International president/CEO said, “Our newest factory partners embody the commitment to high quality and integrity that make us the number one brand alternative. Eli and Zeb have demonstrated in their businesses the type of healthy and sustainable growth we value and support.”

Schmucker, a veteran of the industry who started his mattress career at age 18, has believed in the Therapedic brand from the beginning. He said the licensing and merchandising tools support the strong brand story, adding that “the quality mindset of Therapedic products means they don’t come back with issues.”

Troyer said, “We’re excited to partner with Therapedic. Our values align greatly with a focus on premium bedding and outstanding service. Being part of a nationally recognized brand will bring synergy that we would not have quickly found on our own.”
