Bedding manufacturer Malouf has named Freddy Ortiz to its global sales force. Ortiz is responsible for developing and implementing international sales initiatives with a focus on Latin American countries.
Ortiz, who speaks fluent Spanish, has been with Malouf for nearly three years, previously serving as inbound sales representative for the United States West District. He also worked in the customer experience department, and he brings that background to his new role, as well as his sales skills.
“Freddy is passionate and has a lot of experience with the inner workings of the company and our product assortment,” said Jeff Holmstead, vice president of international sales, Malouf. “During his time here, he has built strong connections with customers and makes sure they have all of the right tools for success.”
Logan, Utah-based Malouf continues to focus on international growth. The company has increased its footprint by more than 30% in the last year in Latin America, with a presence in 20 countries in that region. Malouf’s Latin American presence accounts for 36 percent of the company’s international operations.
Ortiz will play a key role as he works to lead growth in Latin America.
