Shifman Mattresses has awarded territory manager John Nagle with the company’s top sales award.
The award recognizes sales representatives based on four points: overall territory revenue, existing retailer success, new business development and contributions to the overall success of the team. Nagle was honored during the Newark, New Jersey-based company’s sales meeting held at High Point Market in April.
Nagle is responsible for one of Shifman’s largest and longest-running independent dealers, which represented the company’s strongest business line in 2022. He was able to exceed his goal for this account at 115%.
“He is the embodiment of the ‘Shifman Difference’ and is truly dedicated to the success of his retail partners, their sales associates, and our team and organization,” said Shifman President Bill Hammer. “His genuine belief that Shifman makes the best product on the market and his pride in working for this company shines through every interaction that he has.”
In presenting the award, Hammer stressed Nagle’s consistent presence at his partner stores, availability to answer questions and close sales, and his overall willingness to “go the extra mile.”
A 16-year veteran of the home furnishings industry who previously worked with Howard Miller Hekman and Ashley Furniture, Nagle has served as Shifman territory sales manager for the past four years.
