Gold Bond Debuts Camelot Mattress Collection

Gold Bond, an independent mattress manufacturer, has introduced a new mattress collection, the Camelot line, which offers an upgraded design and new cooling technology.

Gold Bond introduces a new mattress collection, the Camelot line, which offers an upgraded design and new cooling technology.

The core of the two-sided mattress is a Leggett & Platt 1057 Bolsa spring system featuring a Quantum Edge Elite perimeter, which provides superior edge-to-edge steel support, according to a news release. It is used in all of Gold Bond’s premium mattresses.

In addition, Aurora foam, a highly resilient polymer foam, provides four times more airflow than typical mattress foams, according to Bob Naboicheck, CEO of the Hartford, Connecticut-based company.

“This is by far one of the most comfortable mattresses we have ever introduced,” Naboicheck said. “Gold Bond has long been known for very durable mattresses. Many of our products have a slighter firmer feel, while the Camelot products are just the opposite. They are extremely luxurious and soft. Combining one of the industry’s best innersprings, Aurora foam and a gorgeous fabric, Camelot is selling on every Gold Bond retailer floor.”

The mattress design features a dark border and heathered gray cover with white highlights, allowing the mattress to stand out on the floor, company officials said.

Naboicheck said he is pleased with the reception of the mattress among dealers. “We have gotten great feedback from our retailers,” he said. “At first glance, consumers are drawn to the unique look of the mattress. But then they lie on it and experience the Aurora foam, which is cool and comfortable, thanks to the exceptional airflow. Together both elements help sell the mattress.”

The Camelot retails for $1,599 for a queen. It is available in firm, plush and pillow-top models.
