Hartford, Connecticut-based Gold Bond, an independent mattress manufacturer, has promoted veteran executive Heldar Silva to plant manager, where he will oversee all facets of the company’s production.

“Heldar is a talented production executive who has helped us improve our operations over a decade with us,” said Bob Naboicheck, CEO of Gold Bond. “This new leadership position in our plant recognizes those contributions and offers him the opportunity to continue to improve and enhance our operations.

“One of Heldar’s real strengths is his ability to train and motivate the production team, one of the key reasons for us to be able to continually maintain the high level of quality and dependability of delivery for our customers.”

Silva joined Gold Bond 10 years ago as quilting supervisor and was promoted a year later to assistant plant manager, his most recent position. Before joining the company, he held various plant management positions with Sealy and Blue Bell Mattress/King Koil in Connecticut over an 11-year period.

“Gold Bond is a very special company,” said Heldar said. “We have many dedicated associates committed to making our products the finest in the industry, and I look forward to having a greater impact on our continued future growth in this new role.”
