Texas Pocket Springs Unveils GenE Glue-Free Pocket Coil Assembly System

NEWS RELEASE

Texas Pocket Springs (TPS), a leader in advanced innerspring technology, today announced the launch of its groundbreaking GenE Glue-Free pocket coil assembly system, following the approval of its global patents. With patents now secured worldwide, TPS is making the innovation public for the first time, opening a new era in coil assembly technology.

The GenE system introduces a double-seam thermal welding process that eliminates the need for glue in coil assembly. This next-generation technique creates a more permanent and reliable bond between rows of coils, while preserving the supple feel that mattress manufacturers and consumer’s demand.

Key benefits of the GenE Glue-Free system include:

  • Comfort & Durability: Welded seams create a more comfortable coil, resistant to breakdown from temperature fluctuations that can weaken glue bonds.
  • Patented QuadCoil® Design: Units are produced from a single continuous strand of coils, incorporating TPS’s exclusive QuadCoil® technology.
  • Operational Efficiency: One operator can manage two production cells, with adjustments made at the touch of a button.
  • AI-Enhanced Precision: Advanced AI monitors and regulates every seal for consistent, high-quality output.
  • Temperature Resistance: Unlike hot melt glue, welded bonds are unaffected by extreme heat (>140°F in transport) or freezing conditions.
  • Flexibility in Design: Capable of producing standard units, multi-zone configurations, and/or full-perimeter units.
  • Lightweight Advantage: A queen-size unit is approximately two pounds lighter than traditional glued units.
  • Sustainability: A truly glueless design means the pocket coil unit is fully recyclable—no glue to contaminate the fabric, less environmental impact, and a cleaner, greener innerspring solution.
  • Versatility for Modern Sleep Systems: Welded bonds remain pliable, making the system ideal for adjustable bases and bed-in-a-box applications.

“With the approval of our global patents, we’re proud to officially share GenE™ with the world,” said Martin Wolfson CEO of Texas Pocket Springs. “This technology makes pocket coils stronger, lighter, and more comfortable, while also delivering meaningful environmental benefits. We see this as a transformative step for the entire mattress industry.”
